From an ESG perspective, we view sports complexes as valuable places that can offer much more than simply accommodating a single sport. They can contribute to vitality, social cohesion, and a more efficient use of public space. With that vision we entered into discussions with BHV Push. The shared ambition resulted in a plan for ten padel courts, the first five of which have now been successfully completed. The courts are heavily used and bring more activity to the sports park, even outside the traditional hockey times.
Our role went beyond financing alone. ESG facilitated the entire process: from permits to procurement, and from construction to the training of certified padel coaches. This project proves that investing in sport is also a financially sound choice, because alongside the social return it strengthens the club’s operations and revenue model.
